A collaborative project with creators/brands who resonate with TUCKSHOP's brand message, "PLAY WITH (UNIFORM). Don't be uniformed."
A series of carved wooden works from a capsule collection with seto totempole souvenir, an artist based in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, who creates carved wooden dolls using local timber and scrap wood.
These works were created in resonance with the theme of TUCKSHOP 2025AW, "NOTIFICATION: OFF" - a time to step away from the hustle and bustle and connect with nature and oneself. Carved in a quiet environment, away from the digital world, these dolls bring a small "space" and "awareness" to everyday life.
Furthermore, these works are also compatible with the custom of "filling in one eye" seen in Japanese Daruma culture. Drawing one pupil with a wish, and adding the other eye when the wish is fulfilled - there's also the joy of nurturing it as your own little charm.
For this collaboration, we will also include a tote bag printed with the original pole. It's a special item designed to be enjoyed with the artwork.

An artist based in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, who creates carved wooden dolls using local timber and scrap wood. By participating in thinning activities in the Seto forest, they engage in circular craftsmanship that returns regional natural resources to production.
Re-evaluating the once-existent "handmade souvenir culture," they have carefully interpreted local activities and cultural backgrounds through the collection and study of folk toys and overseas folk art. Based on this learning, they create carved wooden dolls that embody the simplicity and warmth of Seto, with the goal of conveying the charm of the Seto region and creating opportunities for people to visit.
