TUCKSHOP x POLKA

TUCKSHOP x POLKA - TUCKSHOP

You'll want to admire it for a moment before bringing it to your lips.

The free-blown glass from POLKA, a handmade glass studio in Agatsuma District, Gunma Prefecture, comes in two types: PLAY DRINK for drinking and STAY RINSE for rinsing. Formed by blowing air without using molds, the glass changes its expression each time it catches the light, subtly coloring the ordinary moments of daily life.

Free-blowing is a technique where molten glass is shaped by blowing air into it. The subtle variations in thickness, impossible to replicate by machine, create a warmth when held in your hand. Although transparent, it appears somehow soft. That is the ambiance of POLKA's glass.

PLAY DRINK is perfect for cold beverages. Beer, wine, or water. STAY RINSE stands quietly on the washbasin. But you can pour anything into it.

Both change the atmosphere of a room just by being there.

No two are exactly alike. Their curves are proof of the breath that shaped them.
