PLANT POT by HIKE LIKE

STAY & PLAY WITH（HIKE LIKE）

A small pot sat in the corner of the room. On its surface, a familiar building was depicted.

This terracotta PLANT POT, hand-painted by HIKE LIKE, is an item created in collaboration with MUSTARD™HOTEL SHIMOKITAZAWA. The marks of handcraft etched into the cylindrical pot quietly assert their presence in the corner of the room.

HIKE LIKE is a design studio run by a husband and wife, dedicated to enjoying everyday life. They distance themselves from mass production, continuously creating each item with care, driven by ideas and handcraft. This attitude of "liking what they like, as they like" is embedded in every detail of their products.

The terracotta pot depicts the MUSTARD™HOTEL building. On side A, a mother and daughter pass in front of it. On side B, a man walks his dog. A small story, where everyday life intersects with the hotel, unfolds all the way around the pot.

The building was drawn by the husband, and the people by the wife. This pot, created by their combined efforts, may be the very essence of HIKE LIKE in this moment. A vessel meant to hold something to be nurtured already harbors something new itself.

No two are exactly alike. Those brushstrokes are a testament to their love.

Collaboration Overview STAY & PLAY WITH

TUCKSHOP® × MUSTARD™HOTEL SHIMOKITAZAWA

This is a collaboration project between the unisex brand TUCKSHOP and MUSTARD™HOTEL SHIMOKITAZAWA in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo. Collaborative items by five artists and creators were displayed in the hotel rooms, creating an experience where guests could touch and interact with them during their stay, and purchase them if they liked.

HIKE LIKE

A design studio for enjoying everyday life. A creative space run by a husband and wife, scaled to their own measure. Centered on ideas and handcraft, they create each product individually, such as hand-painted terracotta pots, distancing themselves from mass production. "Liking what they like, as they like"—this attitude gently enriches the daily lives of those who hold their creations.
