A series of wooden carved artworks from a capsule collection with seto totempole souvenir, an artist based in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, who creates wooden carved figures using local wood and scrap materials.
This work was created in resonance with the theme of TUCKSHOP 2025AW, "NOTIFICATION: OFF"—a time to step away from the hustle and bustle and connect with nature and oneself. Carved in a quiet environment away from digital distractions, these figures bring a small "space" and "awareness" to everyday life.
Furthermore, this artwork also accommodates the custom of "filling one eye" seen in Japanese Daruma culture. There is joy in nurturing it as a small personal charm by drawing a black pupil in one eye with a wish, and then filling in the other eye when the wish is achieved.
This collaboration also includes a tote bag printed with the original pole. It's a special item designed to be enjoyed with the artwork.

seto totempole souvenir
An artist based in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, who creates carved wooden figures using local wood and scrap materials. They participate in forest thinning activities in the Seto forest, engaging in circular manufacturing that returns local natural resources to their creations.
They re-evaluate the "handmade souvenir culture" that once existed, and through collecting and researching local toys and international folk art, they meticulously decipher the region's activities and cultural background. Based on this learning, they create carved wooden figures imbued with the simplicity and warmth of Seto, aiming to convey the charm of the Seto region and create opportunities for people to visit.
